About the role
Our robots are only as good as the software driving them. As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer you design the firmware architecture for new product lines, write drivers for analytical instruments and deliver robust, deterministic control. You work closely with hardware engineers and the cloud platform team.
What you'll do
- Designing and building firmware in C/C++ (mainly on ARM Cortex-M)
- Implementing real-time motion control and safety logic
- Writing drivers for sensors, motors and analytical instruments
- Setting up CI/CD pipelines for embedded targets
- Running code reviews and mentoring junior engineers
- Working with hardware on board bring-up and debugging
What we ask of you
- A master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or similar
- 5+ years with embedded C/C++
- Deep knowledge of an RTOS (FreeRTOS, Zephyr) or bare metal
- Experience with motion control or industrial control systems
- Command of English in an international team
Nice to have
- Experience with EtherCAT, CANopen or similar buses
- Rust for embedded targets
- Affinity with functional safety (IEC 61508 / ISO 13849)
